Anheuser-Busch, Inc. | Newark, NJ | Phase I | 535 kW

A client for over three years, Anheuser-Busch has installed Orion's energy efficiency technology inside a majority of their breweries and many of their Independent Distributors.

When Anheuser-Busch decided to install their first roof-top solar energy system at their Newark, N.J. brewery, they naturally turned to Orion to provide turnkey construction services. Under a power purchase agreement and working with local union labor, Orion completed the installation on time, during one of the worst winters on record.

Because of Orion's successful completion of Phase I, Anheuser-Busch again turned to Orion, having confidence that Orion would meet the strict construction and engineering standards of the second phase of the project — on budget and on time.

A new and exciting element to this project was the use of an internal crane mount, used to hoist the inverters to the powerhouse located on the roofing system.

Time and again, Anheuser-Busch has turned to Orion to provide energy efficiency construction services, a testament to Orion's expertise and professionalism.

Great Lakes Technology | Manitowoc, WI | 270 kW

Another project that has set Orion apart from the competition was the installation of a 270kW system on our own 300,000 square-foot manufacturing facility, located in Manitowoc, WI. Orion designed and engineered multiple array set-ups, installing and uninstalling the system under multiple scopes of work.

Through this feed-in tariff (FIT) project, Orion reduced foot-traffic on the roof, maximized efficiency, and ultimately gained significant experience developing roof-top solar systems.

Coca-Cola Refreshments USA, Inc. | Macon, GA | 50 kW

Coca-Cola Refreshments USA, Inc. (CCR) has been a client of Orion Energy Systems for more than five years, and has installed energy efficiency technology in over 350 of their facilities across North America.

Before ever meeting Orion, CCR used another vendor to implement a roof-top solar system, but had a poor experience. When CCR began re-evaluation roof-top solar applications, they contacted Orion Energy Systems because of Orion's successful track record of completing complex projects inside CCR's production facilities and because of our experience implementing solar technology. CCR ultimately selected Orion to implement the first roof-top solar application at a CCR facility in over 5 years.

Orion completed the project at the end of 2009. The system is exceeding pre-production estimates.

Coca-Cola Refreshments USA, Inc. | Coachella, CA | 47 kW

After a successful project installation at Macon, GA, CCR again selected Orion to provide turnkey installation services for a solar energy system for their new LEED-certified sales operation center in Coachella, CA. The project was completed at the end of 2009.

Recently, Orion Energy Systems was honored to receive the first ever Coca Cola Refreshments USA Supplier Excellence Award for Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability.

Coca-Cola Refreshments USA, Inc. | 5 Facility Rollout | 450 kW

Orion has installed four 100 kW solar projects for CCR on a rollout of solar energy projects throughout multiple facilities. Together, Orion and CCR reviewed facilities for carbon footprint reduction opportunities, incentives, and roof-top conditions, selecting the following sites for solar: Torrance, CA; Sylmar, CA; El Paso, TX; Honolulu, HI; and the wind site at Erie, PA.

Vantage Tool & Manufacturing | Warren, NJ | 103 kW

Vantage Tool and Manufacturing is a tooling business with a 30,000 square foot facility and 5 tenants in the facility. The roofing system was sectioned in different levels, with many obstructions and barrels. Orion designed and engineered a system to get the business off the grid using a flat panel system mounted to the deck on the south facing barrel and high wattage cylindrical modules throughout the congestion on the flat surface. The project entailed the implementation of spray foam roofing material, which provided a quality base for the solar energy assets.
